2. How do I import documents?

A document is a file that is initially stored on your computer and is then uploaded to Hot Comms when required. Do not confuse a 'document' with other content types in Hot Comms such as a basic page (webpage). To upload documents go to Add Content \ Documents - choose a file to upload, fill in the required information and press the Save button. The document will be uploaded and stored in the documents section. See also the FAW on Key Words below.

3. How do I create a new web page?

Go to Add Content \ Basic Page. A basic page is the same as a web page and it usually contains content designed and laid out in the manner that you choose. Generally, the content in a basic page is static, i.e. there is no variability in the content. Variable content, often called dynamic content (which is why some web pages are called dynamic pages), requires some logic to determine which content to display based on some criteria. A good example would be blog pages whereby in Hot Comms you can choose the author and just see blogs posted by that author, this can be extended to show content related to a whole team, e.g. vets or nurses.

4. Can I import contacts into the contacts section?
